Men's Group Therapy in Victoria

(Waitlist Open)

Men's Support Group

A place to do real work, alongside others who are working on the same things.

This group is for people who want to understand themselves better, improve how they show up in relationships, and change patterns that feel hard to shift on their own.

If you’ve ever noticed yourself shutting down, getting reactive, avoiding difficult conversations, or feeling stuck in the same cycles, group work can be a powerful way to build awareness and practice doing things differently in real time.

We’re currently building the next group. If you’re interested, you can add your name to the waitlist below. Once the waitlist is full, a start date will be confirmed and shared with everyone on the list.

About Group Therapy

What we focus on in the group

This is a process-based group, which means we pay attention to what’s happening in the room as it happens. That’s where the most meaningful change tends to occur.

Common themes include:

  •  Difficulty staying present in conflict
  • Pulling away, going quiet, or shutting down
  • Feeling misunderstood or guarded
  • Struggling to express needs or limits
  •  Reacting quickly and then regretting it later
  •  Wanting deeper connection but not knowing how to get there

The group becomes a place to try new ways of responding, with support and guidance.

How it works

  • Small, consistent group size
  • Ongoing weekly sessions once the group begins, within a defined date range
  • Facilitated conversation and exercises to help you reconnect with yourself and other men in the group
  • Focus on practical growth, not just talking about problems

This isn’t about being put on the spot or forced to share before you’re ready.

It’s about building the ability to stay present, be more honest, and relate to others in a way that feels stronger and more grounded.

Who this group is a good fit for

This group tends to be a strong fit if you:

  • · Want to work on relationship patterns in a real, practical way
  • · Are open to learning from both your own experiences and others’
  • · Want to show up as your best self
  • · Have done some work on yourself but want to take things further

You don’t need to feel “ready” or have everything figured out. Most people don’t.

What matters is a willingness to show up.

Develop Life Skills

Build practical skills that support emotional, relational, and professional growth. You will work on communication, emotional regulation, self-awareness, and leadership in ways that translate directly into everyday life and long-term stability.

Discover Purpose and Meaning

Explore what truly matters to you and how you want to live. Within the group, you will reflect on values, priorities, and direction, helping you shape a life that feels intentional, grounded, and aligned with who you are becoming.

The Benefits

Why group therapy?

There are some things individual counselling does very well. And there are some things that only really shift when you’re in a room with others.

Group offers a chance to:

  • Get feedback on how you show up with others in the moment
  • Work through patterns like shutdown, people-pleasing, defensiveness, or emotional distance with a group of supportive and caring men
  • Practice being more direct, open, and steady in real conversations
  • Build confidence expressing yourself clearly
  • Feel less alone and more connected in what you’re dealing with

You don’t have to have the “right words” or a clear story to tell. You just need to be willing to show up.
