Meet Your Counsellor

A space for you to connect with your authentic self.

A Relational Counsellor in Victoria, Here to Help You Feel Less Alone

For nearly a decade, I have been helping men and couples get clear about what they want and find a path to it. I have specialized training in The Developmental Model of Couples Training, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), and Somatic Practices.

As a counsellor in Victoria, I offer support that helps you deepen self-awareness, resolve relationship struggles, and move toward greater connection and clarity. I can guide you through conflict resolution, increasing intimacy, and setting and achieving meaningful relationship goals—whether you’re working on your relationship with a partner or with yourself.

When we find ourselves in a high-stakes relationship, attachment wounds often come to the surface. We can slip into avoidant or defensive postures, even with the people we care most about. This protective response is normal—but it can also leave both partners feeling frustrated, misunderstood, or stuck in painful communication loops.

Many people come to therapy feeling like they’ve hit a wall. They want to fix the problem but feel overwhelmed, emotionally flooded, or afraid the relationship is beyond repair. As a Victoria-based counsellor, I help you slow things down, find clarity in the chaos, and work toward reconnection that feels safe and sustainable.

Solving problems and feeling connected again after conflict is not only possible—it’s vital. But it takes more than tools. It takes a deeper understanding of yourself, your needs, and the patterns that keep you stuck. When you start exploring your inner world and learning to listen to what’s underneath the defensiveness, real change becomes possible.

This work is about more than just communication skills. It’s about building a stronger connection with yourself so you can show up with intention in your relationships.  Therapy can be a place to reclaim your voice, restore connection, and create a foundation where relationships don’t just survive, but thrive.

More about Stephen

Self-expression is one of my biggest interests. I enjoy art, film, and music especially. I have always been curious about the inner world of human beings and the unique ways in which they both see and interact with the world inside and out.

My goal is to support people in connecting with their authentic self so they can truly express themselves in all walks of life. I have found that, through this process, relationships become more meaningful and intentional.

Based in Victoria, I offer online & in-person couples counselling and individual counselling for anyone living in British Columbia.
